Last October, Kara and Eric joined hands between two lush planets of eucalypts, anthurium, and blue delphinium. Intense jewel tones counterbalanced the Mill’s light, natural features. Arrangements tended towards the dark and dramatic, with focal points of burgundy mums and quicksand rose, raspberry scabiosa for texture, and solar pops of yellow kangaroo paws – enough variety to give a nod to each of the bridesmaids’ looks. Kara’s bridal gown was celestial but things were brought back down to the earth for the reception with gourds and greenery trailing down the farmhouse tables, surrounded by high and low arrangements. The final result landed somewhere between here and the moon – the ideal atmosphere for this celebration of love.
